Third Month commonly called SIVAN (May – June)
The third month of the biblical year which God has dictated to us in the Bible is simply named by Him as the “Third Month”. It is a month of 30 days and referred to on the Jewish Calendar as the month of Sivan which usually falls in May–June on the Gregorian calendar that we used in the U.S. today. Like the other post-biblical Jewish month names, Sivan was adopted during the Babylonian captivity. In the Babylonian calendar it was named Araḫ Simanu.[1]o.
Jewish historians have recorded a number of Biblical events in the Third Month, below are just a few that I want to highlight.
1 Sivan Yeshua ascension to Heaven. He has already told the diciplles to go to Jerusalem and wait for gift of the Holy Spirit
4 Sivan (circa 1040 BCE) – Birth of David.
6 Sivan (circa 1313 BCE) – The Torah was given to Moses at Mount Sinai and thus observed as the Appointed Time of Shavuot.
6 Sivan The Holy Spirit fell upon the followers of Yeshua (Jesus) in the Upper Room. This is the Appointed Time of Shavout, also observed as Pentecost by the Christian Church and Feast of Weeks.
6 Sivan (circa 940 BCE) – Death of David.
