Characteristics

Biblically, this is the month of natural healing. That’s not the same as miracles. God wants to permeate the body with natural healing. You do not need to   strive for healing. “I Am the Lord your Healer” (Ex. 15:26) manifests this month.

On the Biblical Calendar, Cheshvan is the 8th month of the year, counting from Nisan as the first month.

Cheshvan is the only month which has no Appointed Times or holidays. Jewish scholars  believe this month is “reserved” for the time of Messiah, who will inaugurate the third Temple in Cheshvan. This month is connected with the fragrance of myrrh so let your sense of smell come alive. This is a time for digesting what you have heard.

This month is a time to allow the fragrance of God to begin to permeate your soulish nature. Many people with a Greek mindset think that God is dealing only with spiritual issues, and they do not make the connection of body, soul and spirit. God sanctifies us spirit, soul and body. The Jews believe the soul responds in this month in unusual ways. This is a month to smell the awe of God and a month when the fragrance of the Holy Spirit begins to emanate so a move of Holy Spirit can begin. The month of Messiah: The number “8” signifies eternal revelation and new beginning.

The great flood, that covered the earth  began in Cheshvan, and ended the following year on Cheshvan. In Cheshvan, Noah brought his sacrifice to God and God swore never again to bring a flood. God revealed the sign of His covenant with the world – the rainbow. Cheshvan is the only month which has no holidays. Jews believe this month is “reserved” for the time of Messiah, who will inaugurate the third Temple in Cheshvan. This month is connected with the fragrance of myrrh so let your sense of smell come alive. This is a time for digesting what you have heard.

The name Manasseh means “causing to forget” in Hebrew and to leap, up and away. In the Old Testament this is the name of the oldest son of Joseph and his wife Asenath who bore him two sons Ephraim, Manasseh.
Genesis 41:45 The Message Bible
45 Then Pharaoh gave Joseph an Egyptian name, Zaphenath-Paneah (God Speaks and He Lives). He also gave him an Egyptian wife, Asenath, the daughter of Potiphera, the priest of On (Heliopolis). And Joseph took up his duties over the land of Egypt.

Constellation

Scorpio (the scorpion) –tread on serpents and scorpions
Scorpius the Scorpion – the southernmost constellation of the Zodiac – is a major showpiece of the starry sky. This J-shaped assemblage of stars actually looks like its namesake. The red star Antares is fortuitously placed in the sky just where the Scorpion’s Heart should be. What’s more, the fishhook-shaped Scorpion’s Stinger – made up of two stars, Shaula and Lesath – dips into the Milky Way’s stream of stars, allowing you to catch many a galactic treasure.
