Jesus' Last Supper: A Passover Seder
Jesus’ Crucifixion
at Passover
Jesus' Resurrection at Passover
Jesus' 40 Days After Resurrection
Luke 22:15-16 “ And Yeshua (Jesus) said to them, “I have eagerly desired to eat this Passover (Seder) with you before I suffer. For I tell you, I will never eat it again until it is fulfilled in the Kingdom of God.”
All four Gospels agree that the crucifixion was at the time of Passover, and that Jesus died around 3pm in the afternoon, a few hours before the beginning of Passover at sunset on the 14th day of the month of Nisan which is in March or April in the USA. Jesus was placed in the tomb before nightfall.
The Passover Season starts with the night of Passover and includes the 7 days of the Feast of Unleavened Bread . Remember Jesus was in the tomb on Passover at sunset and stayed in the tomb for 3 days and 3 nights. Jesus himself prophesied this in Matthew 12:40.
Acts 1:3 To them (disciples) He (Jesus) showed Himself to be alive after His suffering (crucifixion) through many convincing proofs, appearing to them for forty days and speaking about the Kingdom of God.
