Characteristics | Bible scholars call Sivan the “The Month of Giving.” This is the time GOD chose to give mankind two life changing gifts of provision HIS Word and His Spirit. Shavuot and Pentecost.
Sivan is associated with the tribe of Zebulun, who was noted for ability in business and the marketplace. So, Sivan is the “businessperson’s month.” God wants you to do some business with Him in the month of Sivan. He wants you to learn prosperity principles. The month of receiving your boundaries. The month to be merciful. The month of alignment (Moses, Miriam, Aaron). The month to connect your talk to your walk (Proverbs 10:9) thereby making continuous, ongoing progress in order to move from one level of strength to the next. In your physical body, this month pictures walking; and walking means “continuous, ongoing progress.” This is the month to go from one level of strength to the next. |

Appointed Times
Shavuot Pentecost Feast of Weeks
|
This month we celebrate Shavuot the anniversary of the giving of the Torah (God’s instructions for holy living) to the nation of Israel on Mount Sinai. And Pentecost, the giving of the Holy Spirit in the Upper Room to the disciples and followers of Yeshua (Jesus). These two gifts are the spiritual foundations of our faith and together they forever changed the way believers live and relate to our Heavenly Father
This Appointed Time or Feast of the Lord is the second of the three pilgrim festivals commanded by GOD and is also called the Feast of Weeks. It can be found in the Bible in Exodus and Acts. |

Hebrew Alphabet: ZAYIN ז |
The letter Zayin (ז) is the seventh letter in the Hebrew alphabet, and it appears in a number of other Semitic language’s alphabets. … The original meaning of the letter Zayin is a “sword” or “sharp weapon,” with the word “lezayen” coming to mean “to arm” in the Modern Hebrew language.
The letter ZAYIN pictures receiving mercy for completion. Just as its literal meaning is complex, the spiritual meaning of the Hebrew letter Zayin is significant, as well. The letter has the numerical value of seven, which has much significance, including the fact that the Sabbath is the seventh and holiest day of the week, and according to Biblical law, the land is meant to lie fallow every seventh year according to a law called “shmita.” As Zayin is the first letter of the word “zahor” (זכור), meaning to remember, and this is one of two basic commandments of the Sabbath, there seems to be a very strong link between the seventh letter in the Hebrew alphabet and the day of rest! |

Hebrew Tribe
Zebulun |
Zebulun was the sixth son of Jacob and Leah. His name means “a habitation” from a root word, which means, “to dwell in an exalted fashion.” Leah’s hope was that Jacob would show her honor by dwelling with her since she had borne six sons to him.
When Jesus began His ministry, He went to the region of Zebulun fulfilling the prophecy of Isaiah 9 that the people who had been in darkness would see a great light. This tribe is linked with bestowing blessing and with the ability to profit through maritime trade. They had the ability to break iniquity off of trade structures and multiply. They developed and filled storehouses for provision, which was one of their roles. |

Constellation
Gemini (2 tablets) Torah given on Sinai |
The constellation associated with Sivan is Gemini, picturing the two tablets of the Law given on Mt. Sinai. This month is a very dangerous month. The Law had to come down twice from heaven. This is also the month of Jacob or Esau—the twins. | |||||

12 Tribes of Israel Gems
According to Complete Jewish Bible description of the breastplate of the High Priest in Exodus 28:17 -21 “17 Put on it settings of stones, four rows of stones: the first row is to be a carnelian, a topaz and an emerald; 18 the second row a green feldspar, a sapphire and a diamond; 19 the third row an orange zircon, an agate and an amethyst; 20 and the fourth row a beryl, an onyx and a jasper. They are to be mounted in their gold settings. 21 The stones will correspond to the names of the twelve sons of Isra’el; they are to be engraved with their names as a seal would be engraved, to represent the twelve tribes. |
