Biblical vs Gregorian Calendar

Biblical Calendar:
The Biblical calendar is the time reckoning system by which the original worshippers of Israel reckon time and the calendar that governed when Yeshua (Jesus) went up to Jerusalem to fulfill the Spring Feasts of the LORD. The Biblical Calendar is a lunar calendar based upon the monthly cycles of the Moon’s phases, opposed to the solar calendars, whose annual cycles are based directly on the solar year. Months in the Jewish calendar are based on the phases of the moon. A new month begins on the day of the crescent moon after the New Moon phase.

Gregorian Calendar:
The Gregorian calendar is the calendar in current use in the Western world, both as the civil and Christian ecclesiastical calendar. Instituted by Pope Gregory XIII in 1582, the calendar has 365 days with an extra day every four years (the leap year.  It is a solar calendar. The oldest solar calendars include the Julian calendar and the Coptic calendar.

Although the Gregorian calendar is in common and legal use in most countries, traditional lunar and lunisolar calendars continue to be used worldwide  to determine religious festivals and national holidays.

The calendar system varies greatly by each different culture. However, if you are looking for detailed information I recommend you visit  the “The Astronomically and Agriculturally Corrected Biblical Hebrew Calendar.” Here is a link https://aroodawakening.tv/biblical-hebrew-calendar/

the answer you gave about the jewish calender you gave does not solve the question about the 6000 years so if you say that from adam till jesus is 4000 years then from jesus to our time is 2023 add that to 4000 years it brings us 6023 so according to this calculation their is something wrong ,according to the jewish calendar the 6000 years ends 2239 according to the Gregorian calendar so you guys need to work out wether the jewish calendar calculation is based on four phases of the moon or the seasons something does’t ad up

Why are Hebrews keeping a religious calendar when it comes to Passover and other festive season calling it religious calendar yet their Shabbat is kept under civilian calendar, yet in exodus God gave Moses and Aron the beginning of the month and the year , and further it states I TOOK YOU OUT OF EGYPT 15th DAY OF THE FIRST MONTH NISAN/ABIB the day after passover. If the passover was on the 14th day then there must have been 7th day prior to that which would have to be Lords day, would it not?

Thank you for this profound question. The Biblical calendar began on the day that God established it with Israel after the exodus from Egypt and the giving of the 10 commandment on Mt Sinai. While it is true that the 7th Day of rest was identified in Genesis on the 7th day of Creation. I don’t see it being observed as a set day by Adam, Noah, Abraham Joseph, etc. Everyday was God’s day. AS a commanded day it seems to appear for the first time in the 10 commandments when GOD is shaping the Hebrews into a Holy people that will represent HIM in the earth. HE is creating a holy culture and lifestyle. I hope this help. I recommend you take a look at the “Bible Overview Chart” by Kenneth Malberg or similar publications
