-In Luke 1:26 the Bible tells us that “In the Sixth Month, the angel Gavri’el was sent by God to Miryam (Mary) and the Messiah was conceived in the Sixth Month of Elul. Therefore the Messiah would have been born 9 months later. The Biblical Calendar is a treasure trove of Bible facts. Knowing God’s order and names for the months of the year can reveal amazing information in the scriptures. The world celebrates the birth of Yeshua/Jesus on December 25th. However, according to scripture, Yeshua /Jesus could not have been born in December!
The Sixth Month, on God’s Biblical calendar is the Hebrew month of Elul and usually occurs in mid-August thru mid-September on the Gregorian calendar that we use today in the United States. Approximately 9 months later the Messiah would have been born, which would have been around the Third Month of the following year on the Biblical Calendar. This would have been the Hebrew month of Sivan which usually occurs in May-June on the Gregorian calendar.
This is an absolutely amazing time on God’s calendar! The scriptures reveals that during the Third Month, Sivan; GOD (Adonai) performed three of the greatest works in the Bible.
It is written in the scriptures that it was during the Third Month (Sivan) that God gave Moses and his people the Torah (God’s Instruction) on Mount Sinai. The Bible also tells us God sent the Holy Spirit to the Upper Room to Yeshua /Jesus’ disciple and 120 followers at the same time of year at Shavuot which occurs n the Third Month. And now it would appear that God’s gift of salvation in the Messiah was given to the world during the same Appointed Time (Shavuot). The calculations from conception to Yeshua’ s birth 9 months later, would have been in Bethlehem during the month of Sivan!
Now, I certainly cannot tell you what year these major Biblical events occurred. But The Bible Overview Chart” by Kenneth E. Malberg dates the giving of the Law between 1450BC and 1400BC. The same charts date the Messiah birth around 5BC and the giving of the Holy Spirit between 30AD and 33AD
The Third Month, Sivan, (May-June) is the time of year on God’s calendar we celebrate the biblical holy days of Shavuot – Feast of Weeks. It is one of the three commanded feasts of the Lord; one of the three Pilgrimage Feasts. Shavuot celebrates both earthly and spiritual harvests. Jews and followers of Yeshua – both Messianic Jews and Hebrew Christians celebrate this holy day.
This blew my mind when God showed this to me in the scriptures. Why have I not heard a sermon on the connection between these three major events? The chronology is clear and unconcealed! This is an amazing pattern of blessings from the heavenly Father on HIS Appointed Times! Remember, HE commands us to remember and celebrate.
Conceived in Elul (August–September)
Born in Sivan (May-June)
Luke 1:26-32 (Complete Jewish Bible) In the sixth month, the angel Gavri’el was sent by God to a city in the Galil called Natzeret, to a virgin engaged to a man named Yosef, of the house of David; the virgin’s name was Miryam. Approaching her, the angel said, “Shalom, favored lady! ADONAI is with you!” She was deeply troubled by his words and wondered what kind of greeting this might be. The angel said to her, “Don’t be afraid, Miryam, for you have found favor with God. Look! You will become pregnant, you will give birth to a son, and you are to name him Yeshua (Jesus).
